The invention of writing

The place of writing is very important in our lives. We use writing in every aspect of our lives. Thanks to the writing, we can transfer what is happening to future generations, so the writing is considered the beginning of history.

The first writing, according to historians, was found in the town of Sumerian Uruk, approximately 3300 BC. In general, the writing is known to have been found by the Sumerian. But a more current thought, which is now valid, is that writing is also found by the Egyptians. So, according to some innovative historians, it is believed that the writing was found by the Sumerian and Egyptians at the same time unaware of each other.

The article was used for which purpose

People wanted to know how much they gave to the temples from the products they gathered, so they felt the need for a record eclipse. In the beginning, these recordings were kept in shape.

Clay tablets

The Sumerian was drawn on a wet clay tablet with sharp sticks, especially in the form of a farm-related painting and shapes. As the clay dries, there are tablets reaching to the present day.

Picture Writing (Pictography)

Over time, the pictures were used for more detailed explanations. For example, a side-drawn mouth and meat meant eating.

Nail Writing

One side of the bar that the Sumerian used in the paper was in the form of nails. That's why historians called it a nail writing. The nail writing was used by many tribes in the following period. The nail writing was destroyed over time. When archaeologists found the first clay tablets, they had no idea about it. In 1844, Henry Rawlinson first managed to decipher the writing of nails.
