Jeden z siedmiu cudów świata, latarnia w Aleksandrii znajduje się w Aleksandrii w Egipcie. Aleksandria jest drugim co do wielkości miastem na wybrzeżu Morza Śródziemnego w Egipcie.

Historia latarni w Aleksandrii:
Założyciel miasta Aleksandrii, Aleksander Wielki, po utracie życia musiał zmienić kraj egipski. Następnie ludzie mieszkający w regionie znacznie zwiększyli swoją działalność handlową z Grekami. Z tego powodu potrzebna była bardzo duża latarnia.
Tak rozpoczęła się bardzo chwalebna historia latarni morskiej w Aleksandrii. Budowa tej wspaniałej latarni rozpoczęła się w czasach Batlamyusa.
Ponieważ latarnia w Aleksandrii była duża, nie można jej było ukończyć w okresie Batlamyusa, a budowa latarni została ukończona po rozpoczęciu panowania syna Batlamyusa.
Po zniszczeniu latarni morskiej z wieloma klęskami żywiołowymi nastąpił w 1408 roku, sułtan Mameluków, zapis latarni morskiej, zbudował fortecę w tym regionie.
